As it's already halfway through the year, we thought it was time to let you know about some recent 'happenings in Hayle'. We're currently working on a number of really fascinating projects, so will be following this edition with news of some others in a month or so. In the meantime, we hope the rest of the summer brings you more and more sunshine and fewer and fewer showers!

Classic Cottages
We've got a reputation for clients coming back for more and the new Classic Cottages website is certainly a case in point. Having first worked with them on a series of brochures over a decade ago, they asked us to create a completely new look for their website to reflect their current brand and status as one of the UK's leading holiday cottage agencies. The site also complements the beautiful printed literature that they are renowned for. Visit www.classic.co.uk to see more.
He made it!
Not content with coming second in the World Bellyboard Championships, Jonathan Davies, our senior web developer has proved himself once more by completing the more than challenging 2009 London Marathon. We're enormously proud of him and his efforts in raising funds for the Mental Health Foundation. As a matter of fact, we are all rather concerned about Jonathan's health generally because he's now saying he wants to do it all again! If you'd like to know more about this worthwhile cause please visit www.mentalhealth.org.uk
The Day That
We've been involved in some really fascinating projects this year, but one which certainly stands out from the rest is our website for new venture 'The Day That'. Originally branded as 'My First Day', the idea is the brainchild of Gavan Goulder, a photographer with a great eye and an even better idea. We designed and built this bespoke site from scratch in close liaison with Gavan and his talented team. See for yourself at www.thedaythat.co.uk
The Blue Gym
We've been selected to create a friendly, accessible and vibrant identity for this nationwide initiative to get people out and about amongst the waterways and along the coastline of Britain. The Blue Gym is just that, an alternative for all age groups to exercising in a gym. Breathe in some fresh air and take part in the myriad of activities from walking to windsurfing to fresh water swimming. So come on in – the water's lovely! (if a little cold...) For more information on this initiative which launches nationwide today, visit www.naturalengland.org.uk
.
The official social-networking site for The Blue Gym will be launched soon at www.bluegym.org.uk
The Eden Project
101 Things To Do With A Hole In The Ground
They say that if you look down a hole anywhere in the world you'll find a Cornishman at the bottom of it – thanks to Cornwall's unique mining heritage. We recently celebrated 101 holes (although admittedly not all were created by Cornishmen!) in this rather special book created for The Eden Project. The book has been widely praised, not least by several members of Martin's family who happen to be mining engineers!
