Martinhal

Having produced the original branding for Martinhal, a luxury hotel and beach resort in the Algarve two years ago, we recently won the task to further develop the branding as the resort nears completion. With an original masterplan by Conran & Partners, and the involvement of a talented management team, the award winning 'barefoot luxury' themed resort includes several sub-brands that need to be defined and refined to complement the existing branding and take the overall Martinhal brand forward.

UCF photoshoot

The University College Falmouth prospectus continues apace. The studio filled up recently with volunteer models from the college who then braved the elements for a windswept afternoon on Gwithian dunes with photographer Matt Jessop. Art direction was provided by our designers Chris and Darren who only reluctantly released this taster of what to expect on the cover.

Visit Cornwall

We're very pleased to tell you that the new Visit Cornwall site is now live! We were selected by the Visit Cornwall team to develop a fresh new look for the site, which is the principal tourism portal for the county. Cornwall continues to be a highly popular destination which was highlighted recently when it picked up the Best Holiday Destination in the British Travel Awards!

Cornwall Tourism Awards 2009

The glitterati of the county assembled recently for the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2009 where Nixon sponsored the award for Small Hotel of the Year category.

Handing out the prizes was Channel 4 presenter Kirsty Allsop, pictured above with Martin and flanked by Jonathan and Marianne Bassett who won the Gold Award for their Boskerris Hotel in St Ives.

Martin was later stopped and cautioned by the police for wearing a bow tie likely to cause a breach of the peace in a built-up area after 11pm.

Ecohouse

Ecohouse Limited, a design and build construction company based in St Agnes, have commissioned us to develop a brand identity and website to promote their sustainable, energy efficient and healthy homes and home extensions in Cornwall and Devon. These homes utilise the latest technology and yet are designed to respect local architecture and landscape.

Woolworths

Never one to miss an opportunity when it presents itself, Martin and Emily spotted some workmen dismantling the old Woolworth shop front in Penzance recently in preparation for its transformation into a pound shop. A few pounds changed hands and, shortly after, the iconic letters found their way to a new home in Hayle, although, in the immortal words of Eric Morecambe, not necessarily in the right order!
